Adib Fattal

March 20-28, 2024

Lately, I have been inspired by the plight of animals on our planet. I am horrified by how animals are threatened by illegal wildlife trade, habitat destruction, invasive species, pollution and climate change. Animals now cannot exist in nature without human pressure. For this reason, I have been working on celebrating these lovely creatures, many of which exist in my imagination. I depict them as free and happy, roaming freely in a kinder world that they themselves own. The animals I portray are surrounded by an imaginary magical landscape under a clear and inviting sky. They are flying, playing, walking and free of pain and danger. I would like to encourage people who see my artwork to think about the animals and contribute to saving them and the spaces they inhabit.

As this exhibition has expired, a video of the virtual exhibition was recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel.
