The real, the staged, the imagined
Sept 13-20, 2024
My trained eye and camera lens capture unseen realities that evoke curiosity and delight in the viewer bringing them along on a shared voyage of imagination. These are personal images of mystery, fleeting moments of coexistence of the real, the staged and the imagined in unparalleled moments in a universe where highly styled mannequins are staged in playful settings, reigning as the silent sovereigns of style and substance.
The resulting magic is captured in single shots with no retouching nor AI manipulation that beckon viewers into realms of curiosity and delight, bringing them along a shared voyage of imagination to evoke new stories. The images are printed directly either on brushed metal that further enhances the mystery and play of light or printed on canvas for velvety colors that enrich the mood.
As this exhibition has expired, a video of the virtual exhibition was recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel.

The subject choice for my photography series since 2008 of fashion store windows and other store windows stems from my past: my career in New York as graphic designer and art director in product launches and promotion for the cosmetics and fragrance industry that left me with a strong sense for lighting, composition and design.
I participated in group shows in New York and Brussels galleries exhibiting my graphics and paintings in the 70’s and the 90’s respectively. After years of consulting work, I recommenced my art activities full time, participating at the Carte de Visite Brussels art collective in February 2023 where I exhibited photo art panels and my first painted folding screen prototype, my new challenge. Most recently, I exhibited my photo art at the ArtistMeeting collective art fair in Knokke, Belgium in August 2023 and in Galeria Azur Berlin, January – February 2024.
At present I continue to explore and create new imagery and am on the path of presenting my art to the world by exhibiting my printed photo art series while addressing my main long-term dream and challenge: the creation of folding screens (paravents), a series requiring development and exploration of content, subjects, projected realities, materials, media experimentation and effects to give the folding screens meaning to evoke the viewer’s inner contemplative self.
