Jewelry Lapel Pin/Brooch
Designs (Woven-Knitting) “Çarpana Weavings,” which are elements of women’s headbands in traditional Anatolian folk culture, were used in the works in the exhibition. Some of it was used in “Tepelik” made of glittery threads. Waste cable wires were used as weft and warp in weaving. Plastic jar lids were used as countertops. The lapel pin was designed based on the idea of a head ornament, which is a part of traditional Turkish women’s clothing.
