The ability of birds to fly has attracted people since ancient times. They considered them special and in some mythologies they were considered intermediaries between God and people. People even invented birds with special abilities that did not exist in nature and these images are still alive.
For me, as for many people, birds are a symbol of freedom. In this world, people have created many boundaries that are an obstacle for us, but for birds they have no meaning. They fly and move around regardless of them.
Recently I noticed that in my works of various types I often use images of real and imaginary birds and decided to put some of these works together to exhibit them.

I studied to be a textile engineer. In 1986 received a doctor degree and began working at the Technological University as a faculty member.But over time I was more attracted to the art of textile. In 1994, I transferred to the University of Arts to the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts. A few years later, I was invited to the Faculty of Arts to the Department of Textile of Ataturk University in Turkey and at the moment I work there as a Professor.
I love oriental carpets and classical oriental textiles (which also include Azerbaijan carpets and textiles) and often make compositions for carpets and textiles in a classical style. Sometimes I do other type works as well. I love bright colors and multi-colored compositions.
