McLuhan says “Medium is the message” in The Gutenberg Galaxy. Graphic design products convey the characteristics of a culture, society and the current time through visuals and texts. Apart from deliberate graffiti and mural applications, I am interested in graphic posters, writings, stains and color values created by worn wall paints, and collages that come together randomly.
Urban walls are a living temporary memory and I take photographs to make this permanent. So what’s in these walls now? Who knows? How many papers were plastered on it? How many letters or images came together spontaneously? What was captured at that moment is gone, however it has become permanent in the images I obtained.
Images that are torn, left unfinished, overlapping each other, complementing or contrasting each other. Random gaps between colors, shapes and texts… The places where these works, which are graphic collages to you, were shot, and the memories of these collages are like my text-image collection.
